Key Marco is the only gated community of single family homes in the City of Marco Island. There is a guardhouse at the entrance with a guard present 16 hours per day. In the evening, when a guard is not present, a clicker is needed to enter the community.
Residents of Key Marco also love the safe feeling they get from the islands unusually high elevations. Because of the elevation Key Marco is not considered a flood zone. The high elevations not only provide safety, but also the most spectacular views of the bays, estuaries and the 10,000 islands.
