Marco Island has some of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. Since Key Marco was annexed in 2004, Key Marco residents have access to all of Marco Islands’ beaches including Residents Beach. Residents Beach is a members-only beach for members of the Marco Island Civic Association and is used by full and part time residents and their family and friends. South Beach is located at the southern tip of Marco Island and requires a Collier County parking pass or $6 for parking. Tigertail Beach is located on the northern part of the island and is one of the region’s top beaches for wildlife viewing. Along with the local beaches on Marco Island there are many small islands offshore such as Cape Romano/Kice Island and Keewaydin Island that provide an unspoiled shoreline. These island beaches are only accessible by boat, kayak or canoe but are well worth the effort.
